"So, where does Halloween Candy land on the horror anthology spectrum? It’s not a top-tier masterpiece like Creepshow or Trick ’r Treat, but it’s also far from a throwaway effort. Halloween Candy sits comfortably in the middle of the great horror anthologies we love. It does so by offering a fun (sometimes uneven plotting) collection of spooky stories that make for a solid Halloween season watch. Molly Gazay’s performance holds everything outside of the anthology stories together by having her terror-fueled moments. Halloween Candy has its best segments delivering memorable scares that will satisfy horror fans looking for a horror anthology worth checking out. However, the weaker segments keep it from being a must-watch, as some stories feel like they need just a bit more polish to fully land. At the end of the day, Halloween Candy is like that trick-or-treat haul from our younger years. There will be some parts that are deliciously scary and then there will be some you’ll forget by morning. Halloween Candy is an experience that is still worth the ride." MacabreDaily.com
