Night Harvest 🌽🔪 Terrifying Horror Thriller Explained!:

WHERE TO WATCH :

Jack-O's Review:

"Love the pumpkin-headed scarecrow look and synth score. Acting is bad but the story kept me entertained. There's a funny sex scene and some nasty kills and practical effects. The old man seems to be the same old man character from Creeping Death (2024), not the same actor but same angry crotchety character with a shotgun being played." ★★½ Jack-O @trickhorrortreater

More Reviews:

"...writer/director Charlie Steeds delivers Night Harvest, a blend of Firestarter and Dark Night of the Scarecrow, with a dash of Friday the 13th: The New Blood thrown in for good measure...And Steeds has shown a talent for blending genres and delivering...a satisfying supernatural slasher with plenty of blood, scares, and some memorable kills. It may not reinvent the wheel, but it offers plenty of fun for fans of horror cinema, particularly those with a fondness for 80s-style slashers. It’s a good choice for a night in with friends, beers, and pizza." ★★★ VoicesFromTheBalcony.com

"Taking its cues from Pumpkinhead, Halloween (score-wise), a dash of Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Firestarter, this is a melting pot of ideas which largely holds together...with Night Harvest feeling like a...gory fun time. Matt Akers’ Halloween-esque score is a welcome addition, and the ensemble cast is down for whatever which makes this a fun watch that you don’t need to think too hard about." Bloody-Flicks.co.uk

"It's scarecrow vs firestarter in this low budget regional slasher from Tennessee. Delivers the slasher goods - bloody kills, practical effects, teenagers getting pitchforked after having sex. Recommended if you like no budget slashers and/or killer scarecrow movies." ★★★½ FakeVoorhees at letterboxd.com

"This movie is hilariously bad and I loved it! If the older guy on the cabin was played by Lance Henriksen this would be a 5 star movie!" ★★ Old Man Brad at letterboxd.com

"Way better than I thought it would be. A dark and evil pumpkin head scarecrow slasher with some brutal kills and cheesy dialogue but it worked. The acting is suspect but the premise and story are fairly well developed. The kills and the slasher character are the standouts in this. The kills are violent, bloody, well-timed and plentiful. The look of this scarecrow killer was dope and he had a menacing presence to him. The synth score hit hard as well. This one was a nice find and one I will def be coming back to for when the spooky season comes back around." ★★★ LEATH3RFACE at letterboxd.com

"This slasher is boring and derivative, but at least it's watchable." ★½ Ian Overton at letterboxd.com
