Atomic Monster Magazine's very own Dr. Shriek is writing/directing an 80s horror throwback Halloween film called "Candy Rot". Featuring old school practical monster, and makeup gore effects. We also collaborated with punk rockers The Anti-Bodies on the theme song.

Candy Rot is something unlike you've seen before!

Check out the Saturday morning cartoon music video for the theme song by The Anti-Bodies. Animated by Disney artist Uncle Mummy.

Our Inspirations: Candy Rot is a movie made by Monster Kids who grew up during the 80s, watching horror movies that featured over the top makeup effects, and iconic creatures. Candy Rot is heavily influenced by Night of the Creeps, Pumpkinhead, Fright Night, The Monster Squad and Night of the Demons, which all feature some iconic unforgettable practical monsters and makeup effects.

The Synopsis: On Halloween night a group of high schoolers discover that a pumpkin farmer who after encountering and being infected by an alien creature, mutates into hideous radioactive pumpkin headed abomination. What follows the teenagers is a nightmare of blood-soaked terror, where they must band together in hopes to save their town from Candy Rot, and his human victims turned mutated zombie horde before it's too late.
