I missed the Twitter watch party on Saturday but I loved seeing all the Halloween (2018) behind the scenes photos and videos from #HalloweenAtHome so I made some gifs:
"The title sequence was filmed practically. No VFX. Thanks, Richard Wright (Production Designer) and Art Department." - David Gordon Green:
The working/production title on set was "Uncle Orange":
"Haddonfield cemetery ... (David Gordon Green) doing some location scouting with a temporary Judith Myers grave." - Ryan Turek
James Jude Courtney as The Shape "I should clarify that the pic involving the ‘78 mask was just for reference because we didn’t have the new mask on hand for Jim’s fitting!". - Ryan Turek
Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney) creepy eye:
Michael Myers unmasked:
Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney:
Makeup effects artist Christopher Allen Nelson prepping Nick Castle for his scene as The Shape. "My boy @ncastlez in the window, me in the mirror. We shared this scene, it was the passing of the torch" - James Jude Cortney:
Christopher Allen Nelson and co-producer Ryan Turek:
It was actually Christopher Allen Nelson dressed as The Shape (pictured below with Key Makeup Effects Artist Kevin Wasner) attacking Laurie through her front door when she shoots two of his fingers off, because Courtney was busy at the time prepping for another scene.
James Jude Courtney missing two fingers:
Christopher Allen Nelson and Judy Greer holding Officer Francis decapitated jack-o-lantern head carved and hollowed out by Michael Myers.

Oscar's (Drew Scheid) death scene on fence:
"I promised the crew if the movie made $100m I would get this (10 - 31 - 18) tattoo (just like Miles Robbins "Dave" in the movie). I got it on that date, also my father's 80th birthday. Thanks everyone for making it happen!" - David Gordon Green
Allyson (Andi Matichak) and Myers in the back of the Police car:
Dr. Sartain's (Haluk Bilginer) head stomped:

Silver Shamrock Halloween III masked trick or treaters with James Jude Courtney (as The Shape), Christopher Allen Nelson, and David Gordon Green:
"The entire crew lined up when I was going to shoot my part in the truck. They all wore nametags that said “we are Laurie Strode.” They stood in silent solidarity with me and it was one of the most moving moments of my entire creative life" - Jamie Lee Curtis
Laurie's (Jamie Lee Curtis) House:

The Strode girls (Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak):
Wow - there is just some amazing makeup and prop design in that movie.
ReplyDeleteYeah the hand wound makeup looks so real, I can almost feel the pain it might cause :)
